It's Autumn - Winter Isn't far behind

It's that time of the year - between the flowers of summer and the snows of winter!

The grounds keepers were around last week and pulled the flowers from the beds

Now they look bare and sad.

The leaves are gone for another year

BUT WAIT!

It'll soon be Christmas!

I got a new Santa for the balcony and put up the lights this past weekend

So, it won't be long before we wish everyone a

Merry Christmas!

Some Inside Shots

It's been a while, but finally got around to posting some new pics. We're not completely settled in yet, but are getting there slowly.

The living room is large, about 12' x 20'.

The dining room (temporarily being used as an office) extends straight back from the living room, with the door to the kitchen off to the left.

A couple of very special ornaments with a place of honour.

This is a shot of the hallway from the living room to the master bedroom. The doorways to the second and third bedrooms are on the left and the entrance hall is on the right.

The master bedroom is a little messy at the moment but it's big! That's a King Size bed with dressers being used as night tables.

And, the hall way back to the living room/dining room.

Bonnie had a bad fall a couple of weeks ago, but is doing well. She's graduated from a wheelchair to a walker, and is now using a cane more than the walker.

And sometimes the furniture, such as the stove, instead of the cane.
But she can still cook. MMM, pasta for supper!

We Sold our home in the country after living there for 18 years . . .

and moved to the big city!

Lord Halifax Place is a community of garden homes and high rise apartment buildings.

We now live at 2240 Halifax Dr.

The building at 2220 Halifax Dr., above, is identical to our building and faces us across the visitors parking lot. The building that you see at the lower left is the swimming pool/Fitness centre/party room, and is joined to both buildings by a tunnel on the first floor.

The grounds are nicely landscaped . . .

With lawns, flower beds, trees and shrubs.

I watched the grounds-keepers cutting the grass today. The temperature was in the 30's celsius.

It was hot work. I had to take a break and get a cold glass of iced tea before they were finished!

We like to have our morning coffee on the balcony and get caught up on the local news. Bonnie reads the paper and tells me about all the exciting happenings. Of course I had to take the dog for a walk and GET the paper before I had my coffee!

There's Bonnie waving from the balcony -- waiting for me to come back with the paper. Our apartment is located directly above the lobby . . .

and since this column of apartments protrudes from the face of the building, our only direct neighbour is the apartment above us.

Even Sam seems comfortable vegging out on the balcony.

And of course, there's the pool building with the adjoining hallway going off to the left to our building.

Come on back for some interior picks. I'll get around to them when I get a chance.

See Ya!
